Meet Our Guest Instructors: Darius Thomas & Xavier Scott
Darius Thomas and Xavier Scott are two dynamic dancers whose journeys are deeply intertwined by passion, mentorship, and years of experience in the dance world.
Darius has been dancing since 2012, starting in studio classes before expanding his craft across the country from Los Angeles to Chicago to Florida. His performance credits include the World Cultural Festival in Washington D.C., the Harlem Globetrotters halftime show, and music videos for artists like Tech N9ne and several Des Moines talents. As a choreographer and performer, Darius brings both energy and experience to every room he steps into.
Xavier Scott began dancing at the age of 8, growing up in the same studio where Darius was already making waves. Inspired by Darius’ movement and mentorship, Xavier followed in his footsteps eventually becoming a choreographer and traveling instructor himself. He has performed at World of Dance in Los Angeles, with the Harlem Globetrotters, and alongside local artists in Des Moines, building a name for himself while honoring the roots that started it all.
Together, Darius and Xavier embody a shared legacy of artistry, dedication, and community using hip hop to tell a story not just of movement, but of connection.
